Play & Pretend: JP: 7. Playdates - Story

Playdates are an excellent way of assisting your child in maintaining and deepening their friendships.  This story aims to help children invite a friend over for a playdate and teaches some social etiquette and scripts related to playdates.  Children learn that they should invite a friend and not a stranger, that they shouldn’t invite themselves over to someone else house, the importance of making their friend feel welcome and being fun to be with on the playdate, and saying goodbye with good manners even if they feel disappointed that they playdate is over.
