Play & Pretend: SP: 7. Including & Excluding - Story

This session aims to create awareness about social groups and group dynamics. It encourages children that feel excluded to initiate contact and gives them some tips in doing so. Some children feel excluded but their own fear causes them to exclude themselves by not pursuing friendships. This story helps children to play an active role in making friends, forming their own friendship group, or initiating joining a group of like-minded children. It also encourages children who are part of a social group to be more aware of how it feels to be left out and be more inclusive of others.
