Meet & Greet: SP: 3. Formal and Informal Greetings with Words - Story

This story helps children to learn the basic social rules of greeting adults formally or informally and the differences between greeting an adult versus greeting a child.  They learn how to greet an adult formally and  when they can be more colloquial with familiar adults. When a child is not sure what greeting is appropriate, they are more likely to avoid greeting someone or become anxious.  Providing clear and specific indicators helps build confidence and competence in greeting familiar and unfamiliar adults and children.
