Meet & Greet: SP: 2. First Impressions Matter - Story

This lesson aims to encourage children to make a good first impression when they meet someone for the first time.  Making a good first impression creates an opportunity for the relationship to continue and for them to get to know each other better.  A bad first impression often prevents any further contact which sabotages any future interactions.  A positive first impression sets them up for success relationally, right from the start. It is important that children realise that they don’t have to pretend to be someone they aren’t.  It is more important for them to be the best version of themselves so that others may gain a true perspective of who they are. They learn that not everyone is going to like each other and that is okay.
