Meet & Greet: PP: 5. Greeting People With Words - Story

This story exposes children to different verbal greetings. 

At this level we focus on casual greetings such as “Hi”, “Hello”, “Howzit”, and “Hey”.  Depending on the children’s cultural linguistics, you can introduce some other examples of casual greetings in place of the examples given in the story.  Some examples of greetings in different languages are also provided, however depending on your group’s language demographics, you may want to substitute for other languages.  At this level, the children are unlikely to be able to read the text and so substitution of the greeting examples is possible.
