Faces & Feelings: JP: 4. The Fear Thermometer - Story
This lesson explores the different range of scared feelings. Children learn three degrees of fear, from worried (mild), to afraid/scared (moderate), to petrified/terrified (severe). It’s important for children to understand that fear has a range. Understanding that they can feel worried or even scared and still be in control of themselves is important. It’s this degree of control that allows children to face their fears. Later on in the module, children will learn how to stay calm and face their fears.
