The aim of this story is to help children understand the difference between conflict and bullying. Conflict is a disagreement or argument where both sides express their views or opinions.  Bullying is a negative behaviour that is intended to hurt, harm, or humiliate another person.  It is important for children to understand that conflict is a normal part of relationships and is expected from time to time.  They can learn ways to resolve conflict and these are covered in other Buddy Club stories.  They should also learn to recognise bullying as  a serious offence that they do not need to face alone.  They are encouraged to seek help from an adult if they think they are being bullied or are unsure if it is bullying or conflict.
