Chit & Chat: PP: 4. Kind Face - Story

This story helps children to see the importance of using a friendly facial expression when interacting with their peers. A friendly social approach is more likely to be received positively and a friendly facial expression can change how their words are received. This story also aims to assist with developing theory of mind and children are taught how others might think about them when they have a friendly or unfriendly face. Considering how others perceive us is an essential social cognition skill that supports the development of prosocial behaviour.
