Jokes are a great way to encourage abstract thought and understanding that something can have more than one meaning. Humour is something that is misunderstood or misused in the early years and requires some guidance for many children. This story helps children to understand the purpose of humour and when to use humour. Children learn about appropriate and inappropriate jokes, how using too much humour can be irritating, and the difference between laughing AT versus laughing WITH someone.
