Chit & Chat: JP: 4. Telling & Tattling - Story
Children need to know that they can turn to an adult when they need help. They should not be expected to try to resolve their conflicts on their own. This is especially true when someone is being hurt or purposefully harmed in any way. There are however times when children resort to “tattling” frequently and unnecessarily in order to get their peers in trouble or due to a rigid need for rules to be followed. This story differentiates between “tattling” and “telling” and empowers children to turn to adults for help when necessary.
