Chit & Chat: JP: 6. Disagreeing - Story

This story will help children to understand how to respectfully disagree with someone. Children learn that holding different opinions is okay and that we can be friends with someone yet disagree on something. This story helps children to see that we don’t always have to share our disagreements with others and when it is unnecessary to do so. It also helps them to know when to share that they disagree and how best to communicate that. Respect of others’ beliefs and opinions is encouraged and assertive, respectful sharing of their own opinions is taught.
